The reputation of Charleville-Mezieres is affirmed in the world with her poet Arthur Rimbaud who was born in Charleville in 1854.
Several sites in Charleville can trace his life.

The Rimbaud museum, housed in a mill of the seventeenth century, is dedicated to Arthur Rimbaud.
His life and his poetry are discussed through numerous photographs and facsimiles.

The white marble tomb, where the poet is buried in the cemetery is located at 124 Avenue of Charleville Charles Boutet.

THE WORLD FESTIVAL OF PUPPET THEATRE EVERY 2 YEARS
Charleville-Mezieres is the world capital of puppetry.
This event became unavoidable in September, brings together more than 150 000 spectators indoors and outdoors and brings together nearly 250 troops from all five continents.
